Two people taken to an area hospital for collision that overturned one vehicle
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Two people were taken to local hospitals in connection with a two-car accident on North Knoxville Avenue where one person was trapped inside a vehicle. The accident occurred at about 9:10 p.m. Sunday in the 8400 block of North Knoxville Avenue. That’s near the Advanced Auto Parts store and about a block south of Avanti’s on North Knoxville, according to the Peoria Fire Department.
Isolated strong to severe storms possible tonight
PEORIA (25News Now) - Another line of thunderstorms moves in from the west this evening bringing the chance for another night of storms. While the likelihood of severe storms is low there is still a chance of isolated severe thunderstorms for our region. The primary threats include damaging winds exceeding 60mph, large hail and the possibility of isolated tornadoes. Additionally, locally heavy rainfall may pose a risk of flash flooding, especially in urban or poorly drained areas. Make sure you stay weather aware tonight and have multiple ways to receive warnings. Meanwhile, above-normal temperatures are expected to persist throughout the remainder of the week, accompanied by rain chances set to return midweek.

4 adults displaced, 2 animals killed after Saturday house fire in Peoria
Two animals are dead and four people displaced after a house fire Saturday afternoon in Peoria. According to the Peoria Fire Department, officials responded to a report of a fire in the 1800 block of South Arago Street just after 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Eleven cats and one dog were safely retrieved from the home and all were given to PCAPS. One cat and one dog died in the fire.
