A deadly crash in Peoria claimed the life of a pedestrian late Thursday night, police report. The incident occurred near the intersection of 78th and Olive Avenues around 10:41 P.M., according to FOX 10 Phoenix. A car traveling westbound on Olive Avenue struck the pedestrian, who was in the roadway at the time. Local law enforcement responded to the scene and found the victim deceased upon their arrival.

UPDATE: According to the Rock Island County Coroner’s office, Steven Aeschliaman, 40, of East Peoria was killed in the accident. Another cold front is on the move across Iowa and Missouri. Although, before it reaches central Illinois, a warm front will pull through to increase our humidity levels and bring back a southwest wind that will be gusty at times. The storms associated with the cold front should reach us by 3:30 PM in the western portions of our viewing area and be centered over Peoria and Bloomington around the dinner hour....leaving Pontiac by 8 PM. Once it leaves the viewing area, a most excellent Sunday is in store with a drop in humidity before clouds start arriving on Monday in anticipation of rain/thunderstorms on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
