Armed girl causes local high school students to hold in place Wednesday
BARTONVILLE, Ill. (WMBD) — An armed girl caused Limestone High School students to hold in place on Wednesday. According to the Bartonville Police Department, at 2:24 p.m. officers were informed about a girl who allegedly had a gun on her lap while going through the drive-thru of a business near Garfield and Chalmers Avenues.
UPDATE: Man in critical condition after daytime shooting
PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria Police say a man was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center after a shooting Wednesday just north of downtown in the city’s North Valley. Peoria Police Lt. Michael Boland said officers were called to the alleyway between Adams and Jefferson and found one man with a gunshot wound and is in critical condition.
Peoria woman pleads guilty to reduced murder charge for killing boyfriend
PEORIA (25News Now) - A Peoria woman has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the stabbing death of her boyfriend last year. Heaven Kruzan, 23, faces a minimum of four years in prison up to a maximum of 20 years behind bars for killing Lamario Billups, 34, who was found with a stab wound to the chest at a home on South Stanley Street on March 8, 2023.
