Tazewell County Health Department set to open new building on Broadway Street in Pekin
Tazewell County Health Department (TCHD) is excited to announce the impending opening of a new facility to better serve the Tazewell County community. In late 2024, TCHD will move its Clinic and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) services to the building at 1800 Broadway St. in Pekin. Those services will also remain on a scheduled basis at TCHD’s current location at 21306 IL-9 in Tremont. This move will allow TCHD to bring its services closer to the County’s population center and to a more centralized location.

17-year-old sentenced to 31 years in prison for double shooting
PEORIA (25News Now) - A 17-year-old accused of attempted murder in a February double shooting in Bartonville during a botched drug deal has pleaded guilty. The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says Donald Grant pleaded guilty to attempted murder and aggravated battery with a firearm for the shooting in Bartonville last February. He was sentenced to 31 years in prison for the attempted murder charge and 20 years for the aggravated battery charge which will be served concurrently.
