Buc-ee’s submits final report for Huber Heights planning commission

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The Buc-ee’s in Huber Heights is 697 steps closer to happening.

In a post to his official Facebook page , Huber Heights Mayor Jeff Gore said the gas station operator has submitted the 697-page report that will be presented at a planning commission meeting on Tuesday, May 14.

Gore estimated that approximately 75 percent of the report pertains to traffic, potential issues and possible solutions from the Ohio Department of Transportation.

“To say it’s detailed would be an understatement!!,” wrote the mayor. “If there is any question as to why the process takes as long as it does ….this report should answer that question.”

Gore has been early and upfront as the Buc-ee’s development has progressed.

• A post on his Facebook page broke the news on Aug. 10, 2023, that the mega-convenience store was coming to the Ohio city.
• On March 30, he shared with a Facebook group dedicated to the Huber Height Buc-ee’s that ODOT and Montgomery County had approved intersection changes and permits .
