In a city as culturally diverse as Houston, the culinary landscape is ever-evolving, yet some traditions remain timeless. Abdallah’s Lebanese Bakery and Restaurant, a staple in the community since its inception, is set to reemerge as Abdallah’s Lebanese Cafe . This new chapter begins at 2795 Katy Fwy #100 , as confirmed by Owners Fares and Susan Hage . This move marks a significant transition from its previous Hillcroft location, where it served the community for decades.

The decision to relocate was influenced by several factors, including changing demographics and the impacts of the pandemic on local traffic and clientele. The business park they were a part of has undergone considerable changes, affecting their daily footfall, the Hages shared. The need for a fresh environment that matched their ambitions was clear, especially with their lease ending. The lower heights area, flourishing with development and opportunity, presented the perfect backdrop for Abdallah’s new beginning.

Abdallah’s Lebanese Cafe will not only carry forward the legacy of fresh pita and bakery items but also introduce an array of new offerings. Anticipated additions include beer and wine options, potential hookah service, and an expanded menu featuring gluten-free and more vegan choices. This evolution reflects the Hages’ commitment to catering to diverse dietary preferences and enhancing their guests’ dining experience.

While eager patrons await the grand opening, the timeline remains fluid, dependent on city permits and construction schedules. The Hages hope optimistically estimate to welcome diners to their new locale by the end of Summer 2024.
