New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres exited Friday's game early against the Houston Astros after his right hand was hit by a pitch.

During an at-bat in the seventh inning against Astros righty Tayler Scott, Torres was hit by a pitch on his right hand. He went down to the ground for several minutes as he was attended to by the training staff.

Though Torres stayed in the game and appeared okay, he eventually pulled himself from the game during a mound visit in the bottom of the seventh inning. Jamai Jones came into the game and replaced him.

Fortunately, manager Aaron Boone told reporters after the game that the X-Rays on Torres' hand, specifically his thumb, came back negative.

Hitting from the leadoff spot, Torres was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts before exiting.
