MILFORD, Del. – The Milford Police department was on scene of the Planet Fitness located in the 600 block N. Dupont Blvd within the Milford plaza after receiving a report of a bomb threat. Planet Fitness along with other surrounding businesses in the area have been evacuated. Milford police department along with agency partners are working to ensure the safety of the building. Expect increased police presence in the area.
Police release name of 57-year-old bicyclist who died after failing to stop at sign
Police have identified the bicyclist who died in a crash near Felton on Friday as 57-year-old Felton resident Robert Spencer Jr. Spencer did not stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Logan and Willow Grove roads, according to Delaware State Police, and rode into the path of a Chevrolet Tahoe. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Kent County Man Arrested for Drug Offenses During Traffic Stop
MAGNOLIA, DE - A Kent County man was arrested for drugs and other offenses after a traffic stop on Sunday. Delaware State Police say around 12:30pm on Sunday, a trooper saw a Dodge Charger near Millchop Lane and Stevenson Drive in Magnolia with a registration violation. DSP identified the driver as 49-year-old Jerry Smith of Magnolia, Delaware.

A Dover man has been charged with a single count of arson for a Saturday night house fire in the city, police said.
