Investigation underway after infant found dead in home
An 8-month-old baby died over the weekend in Conesus, Livingston County, the Livingston County Sheriff's Office announced on Wednesday. Deputies were called to a home on Railroad Avenue at 8:35 a.m. Saturday to investigate after the family of an infant called 911 to report that the child was not breathing, Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty said in a news release. Deputies said that the child was found dead at the scene.

A 55-year-old man was killed in a one-car crash on Route 488 in Hopewell, Ontario County, on Tuesday night, according to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said that Curtis A. Wright of Seneca Falls, Seneca County, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro west on Route 488 and drove off the north shoulder of the road just after 11:30 p.m. His vehicle struck a mailbox and crashed into a large tree.
