Top high school performers of the week: Vote for the best

The Holland area saw several top performances this week from high school athletes.

Vote on the top performance. The poll will be open until noon Thursday.

Winners will be highlighted at the end of the season.

Abatu Dykstra, Hamilton track. Broke the school record in the 800 meters with a time of 1:58.2.

Kayden Panse, West Ottawa soccer. Scored a beautiful goal against East Kentwood for a 2-0 Purple Power win.

Avery Smith, Saugatuck soccer. Scored two goals in an 8-0 win over Coloma.

Emma Gauthier, Hamilton soccer. Goalie recorded a shutout in a 1-0 win over South Haven.

Niko Moungkhoun, Zeeland lacrosse. Scored five goals in a 13-4 Purple Power win over rival West Ottawa.

Kierea Smits, Holland Christian softball. Struck out 16 in a 5-3 win over West Ottawa. Also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs. She also pitched an eight-inning complete game win over West Catholic with 14 strikeouts and no walks.

Quinn Rosema, Fennville track. Won the 100 meters and the long jump in a dual against Bridgman, setting a 100-meter personal best in 11.3 seconds.

Natalie Legg-Emma Hulst, Holland tennis. Didn't drop a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 win over Union. Also won 6-2, 6-0 over Wyoming.

Ella Sligh, Black River soccer. Scored in the final second from 30 yards out in a 2-1 win over Fennville.

Madalyn Daniels, Holland track. Won the 100 meters and 200 meters in an OK Green tri at Houseman field. Her 26.49 in the 200 was a personal best.

Lorelei Buikema, Zeeland East softball. Drove in eight runs in a doubleheader sweep over Muskegon.

Peyton Lehman, Holland baseball. Slammed a home run in a 12-2 win over Zeeland West.

Siobhan Michmerhuizen, Zeeland West soccer. Scored the game-winner in a 2-0 win over Reeths-Puffer.
