In addition to the downtown Holland location , Baton Collective is working on another Foxtail Coffee location in its homebase, Ada . The Ada location, inside a newly constructed building at 7366 River Street SE, Suite 101 , is anticipated to open in May.

According to applications and plans submitted to Ada’s Downtown Development Authority, the Ada location is operated by Baton Collective’s subsidiary company, Michigan Coffee Crew – Ada A6, LLC . The project applicant is Loren Crandell , president and CEO of Michigan Coffee Crew and Baton Collective.

“Foxtail Coffee creates community spaces that are suitable for relaxation, socializing with friends, or working remotely. Whether you are enjoying a cup of coffee in-house or taking a cup to go, the ‘Foxtail Experience’ is something that coffee lovers will look forward to every time they visit,” Crandell told What Now Detroit in an email.

Plans indicate the coffee shop will occupy a 2,157-square-foot space with an outside patio. The inside space will have a few community tables, hightops by the window and the bar, and multiple lounge seats with comfortable armchairs. In addition to coffee, espresso drinks, teas, pastries, cookies, sandwiches, treats, and frozen desserts, the cafe also plans to serve beer, wine, and bar bites for consumption. Crandell is also applying for a social district permit to allow BYOB during the Commons Area hours of operation so customers can bring beer and wine into Ada Township’s Social District Commons Area .

“The Ada community has grown immensely over the past several years. The Village is home to businesses, restaurants, and retail shops. We felt bringing Foxtail Coffee to Ada was a natural fit. It provides a warm and welcoming environment for the community to gather over a quality cup of coffee,” said Crandell.

For now, the coffee shop plans to open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekly. The Ada location is anticipated to open in late May. Baton Collective is also looking at other West Michigan communities for more opportunities.
