Son of Sandy’s Donuts founder who grew the business to regional staple dies
WEST FARGO (KFGO) — The son of the founder of Sandy’s Donuts and the company’s former CEO Mark Ostlund has died. He was 62. His son, Jeff Ostlund, says Mark died unexpectedly this week from health complications. He was the son of Sandy and Donna, who founded the regional staple in 1983 in West Fargo. Mark Ostlund took over the business in 2002, becoming its CEO.

Dent man airlifted to Fargo after accident at Maplewood State Park
MAPLEWOOD STATE PARK, Minn. (KFGO) – A 68-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries Friday morning after an accident at Maplewood State Park. Emergency personnel responded to the park after receiving a call for help at 10:58 a.m. According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, the victim, a resident of Dent, Minnesota, had been unloading large horse panels from a trailer. During the unloading, three of the panels fell off the trailer and landed on him.

Prior Lake Stuns Spuds, Ends Moorhead’s Undefeated Season
MOORHEAD (WDAY RADIO) – The Moorhead Spuds’ undefeated season came to an end Friday night, as Prior Lake pulled off a 19-14 upset in the MSHSL Class 6A football playoffs. Moorhead entered the postseason unbeaten and looking to make another deep state tournament run. Last season, in their first year competing in Class 6A, the Spuds reached the state championship game before falling short of a title. This year’s team had hopes of making another run, but Prior Lake brought those aspirations to an end with Friday night’s victory.

Rebels Top Perham in 8AAA Championship Game
Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton remained unbeaten on the season as they recorded their tenth straight win on Friday night, punching their ticket to the AAA State Football playoffs with a 26-20 win over the Perham Yellowjackets in the Section 8AAA title game at the Fargodome. DGF led 14-0 at the half and 14-7 after three quarters. Perham finishes their season with a record of 9-2.
