Robert Whittaker, age 56, of East Patchogue, was charged with felony assault for the Tuesday, May 7 attack in a Commack parking lot. According to Suffolk County Police, Whittaker was panhandling for money in a parking lot of 10 Garet Place when he pushed a 79-year-old man, causing minor injuries.
Glen Cove Investment Broker Who Ran Ponzi Scheme Sentenced
Rand Heckler, 67, was sentenced to up to seven-and-a-half years in prison on Wednesday, May 15, the Nassau County District Attorney (NCDA) announced. Heckler, who is from Glen Cove, was an investment broker in 2015 when he began his scheme, recommending that his friend and his friend’s son that they invest in a hedge fund of stocks and securities that Heckler was managing.
Old Bethpage Man Busted for DWI After Crashing His Car into 7-11 & Fleeing Scene, Cops Say
The Public Information Office reports the arrest of an Old Bethpage man for Driving While Intoxicated that occurred on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 5:14 pm in Bethpage. According to detectives, Bureau of Special Operations Officers responded to 150 Main Street for a vehicle into a building. Upon arrival it was determined that a single vehicle had struck the 7-11 store front window pane, causing it to break. The operator of the vehicle had fled the scene in a red Toyota 4Runner prior to police arrival. A short time later, the fleeing vehicle was involved in a collision with a 2017 Grey Subaru Sedan being operating by a 46-year-old female at the intersection of Conklin Ave and Main Street in Farmingdale.

Susan Capone was driving a 2020 Volkswagen westbound on Jericho Turnpike when she attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot, located at 6070 Jericho Turnpike, and collided with a 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle being driven eastbound at 4:15 p.m.

According to detectives, Madisyn Simpson, 14, was last seen leaving her Freeport residence. She is described as a female black with brown eyes, black hair, 5’3” tall and 125 pounds. Madisyn was last seen wearing black tights and a black jacket. Her destination is unknown.

Just before 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, a 48-year-old woman was parking her 2024 Mercedez Benz in the parking lot at 981 Northern Boulevard.
