Prosecutors say Steven Lawson ‘untruthful’ about his role in Rogers murder
In a series of court filings Thursday, Special Prosecutor Shane Young’s office shot down efforts by defense attorneys for Steven Lawson, Joseph Lawson and Brooks Houck for all three men to be tried separately at the Feb. 10, 2025, Crystal Rogers murder trial. Attorneys in the case on both sides have agreed to Christian County Circuit Court in Hopkinsville as the venue for the trial.
5 blocks of South Clay Street to be closed for paving
HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A large section of South Clay Street in downtown Hopkinsville will be closed next week for paving. A contractor of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin work on May 20, depending on the weather. The closure will start at East Fourth Street, and extend to Ninth Street, according to a news release from KYTC.

MISSING JUVENILE ALERT: Police ask for help locating 16-year-old runaway juvenile
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department has asked for the public’s assistance in locating a 16-year-old runaway juvenile, Chelsea Washburn. Washburn was last seen on Thursday, May 16, at around 10:30 a.m. at her residence on Lindsey Drive. according to CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien. She stands at 5-foot-6, weighs approximately 140 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Fort Campbell Soldier Charged with Felony Rape in Nashville, Military Cooperation Confirmed
A U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Campbell has been charged with the rape of a woman during her visit to Nashville in February, as confirmed by the Metro Nashville Police Department. Timothy Glass, 24, is alleged to have committed the assault after the victim, who was heavily intoxicated at the time, fell asleep in her hotel room.
