One arrested after Highway 41 chase in Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – According to the Madisonville Police Department (MPD), a chase started in Madisonville on I-69 and ended in Henderson.

According to MPD, an officer saw a vehicle driving erratically and speeding and tried to pull them over. The driver didn’t stop.

MPD identified the driver as 20 year-old Amber Wilkins.

MPD says the chase went into Henderson, and KSP and Henderson Police helped with the chase.

Officers say stop sticks were deployed in Henderson on 41, and Wilkins never hit them because she slowed down and just stopped. She was brought back to Hopkins County, then went to the hospital for blood work and then on to jail.

According to MPD, no one was hurt and there was no property damage.

UPDATE 1

According to the Henderson Police Department (HPD), there is a heavy police presence on HWY 41 North due to a vehicle pursuit by KSP that ended in front of Long John Silver’s.

HPD asks for people to please use caution when traveling northbound and to give law enforcement room to work.
