Shots fired investigation underway in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – Police are investigating after shots were fired in Salisbury late Sunday night. According to police, the incident happened just after 11 p.m. in the area of Circle Avenue. Two vehicles and one building in the area were reportedly hit by gunfire, and shell casings were also located at the scene.
Wicomico County Man Charged with Rape Following Investigation
SALISBURY, MD – On February 24, 2023, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) received a complaint of a rape that occurred in September 2022. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) assisted with the investigation and identified the suspect as 52-year-old Jose Antonio Perez-Santana. The rape took place in the 300 block of Penn Street, Salisbury, MD. A search and seizure warrant was executed on March 21, 2023, resulting in the recovery of evidence. An application for charges against Perez-Santana was submitted to the District Court Commissioner, who subsequently issued an arrest warrant. Local fisherman discovered vehicle that crashed in creek during unreported fatal crash
LAUREL, DE – Police reportde that a local fisherman found the body of a man involved in a fatal crash after he drove his SUV into Broad Creek two weeks ago. Jose Roaro-Alanis, 44, of Seaford was found dead by the fisherman, leading police to discover that he was the victim in a fatal crash sometime between March 11 and 12. Another fisherman discovered a submerged truck under the Broad Creek drawbridge at approximately noon. Cambridge, Maryland Man Sentenced for First-Degree Murder
Chief Judge of the Circuit Court for Wicomico County today sentenced a 26-year-old Cambridge, Maryland man to two consecutive terms of Life Without Possibility of Parole on two counts of First-Degree Murder. Damon Hall also faces an additional consecutive term of 10 years without parole on firearms charges. On November 30th, 2022, Hall was convicted of the double murder that occurred in Salisbury on October 12th, 2021. Hall is charged with shooting both 42-year-old Emmanuel Jones and Jones’ aunt, Patrice Trader, aged 51 in the head at their home on Martin Street in Salisbury. Jones died that same day, while Trader succumbed to her wound in March, 2022.

Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash where a man drove into the Broad Creek in Laurel two weeks ago. Fishermen found the body of 44 year old Jose Roaro-Alanis of Seaford just before 9pm on March 12th and contacted police. His body was taken to the State Medical Examiner to determine the cause of death. Another fisherman discovered a vehicle in the water this past Friday – which police say is Roaro-Alanis’s pickup.

UPDATED: Worcester Sheriff’s Deputies Investigation Pocomoke Home Invasion
UPDATED – 8:10am – Worcester County Sheriff’s Deputies and Pocomoke City Police were called for a home invasion at a home on Colona Road south of Pocomoke on Wednesday afternoon. Police learned that the former boyfriend of the victim forced entry into the home and assaulted the victim before leaving. Police say that a second suspect, 38 year old Blanford Persinger of Horntown, VA, entered the home without permission and argued with someone in the home. Persinger was arrested on charges of 4th degree burglary and obstructing and hindering and is being held in default of a $2500 bond.
