Mass. man charged in kidnapping, shooting denied bail
The Dalton, Massachusetts man accused of trying to chain up a man in his basement, leading to a fight and a shooting was denied bail after a hearing. Nicholas Lighten is accused of getting into a fight with the victim on May 9 at Ligthen’s home at Housatonic Street. Lighten then allegedly forced the victim to the basement, tried to restrain him and then shot him in the upper thigh, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office.
North Adams Draft Ordinance Allows More Retail Cannabis
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The mayor is asking the City Council to take up a revamp of the cannabis ordinance that will allow more establishments to licensed.
