13th World opens Palmer fright park for “Halfway to Halloween” event this weekend

PALMER, Mass. (WWLP) – Halloween enthusiasts, mark your calendars! 13th World Fright Park is set to host its first-ever “Halfway to Halloween” event on Saturday, May 18, to celebrate the midpoint of the 2024 Halloween season.

With tickets now available on 13th World’s website , fans are eagerly anticipating the opportunity to indulge in some spooky fun ahead of the traditional Halloween festivities later in the year.

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for the event, promising a night of thrills and chills. “We love to do special events like this and open up on weekends and during seasons other than Halloween,” remarked Rich Vaillant, Co-Founder of 13th World Fright Park. “People love Halloween and being scared. We find that our fans and Halloween enthusiasts look for any excuse to dress up, be scared and celebrate their favorite holiday. Halfway to Halloween will be a fun event to help fans fill a void and get them excited for the real thing later this Fall.”

The “Halfway to Halloween” extravaganza will feature several attractions, including “Moonlight Mayhem,” a journey through nightmares starting at the Moonlight Motel, “Hell Fire House,” a maze of darkness, fog, and fire, and “Prison of Torture,” where guests’ worst fears come to life.

Additionally, attendees can experience the debut of a new game in the “Midway of Madness,” where participants aim to throw zombie heads into toilets. For those seeking an extra dose of terror, the “Touch of Fear” option allows 13th World monsters to interact with them.

In addition to “Halfway to Halloween,” 13th World will open for a special Friday the 13th weekend on Friday, September 13, 2024, ramping up the excitement ahead of the official Halloween season opening on Saturday, September 28. The park will be open on weekends through November 2, 2024, featuring two blackout weekends on October 20 and November 2, where guests can experience the terror of 13th World in complete darkness. Friday, November 1, will host “Xscream Night,” a special R-rated event for fans 18 and older.

Located at 1701 Park Street in Palmer, Massachusetts, 13th World Fright Park invites thrill-seekers to join in the scares and immerse themselves in the eerie ambiance of “Halfway to Halloween.”
