Southern Miss undrafted free agents tracker: Golden Eagles who signed after 2024 NFL Draft

The 2024 NFL Draft is now over, and Southern Miss football has players signing with teams as undrafted free agents.

The Golden Eagles did not have a player drafted, despite running back Frank Gore Jr. being projected by some pundits as a potential Day 3 pick .

Here's a list of where all of Southern Miss' undrafted free agents signed following the 2024 NFL Draft.

Frank Gore Jr., running back, Buffalo Bills

Yes, Gore is the son of former Bills running back and NFL great, Frank Gore Sr. Gore Jr. rushed for over 4,000 yards in his four-year career with the Golden Eagles and never missed a game. His 329 rushing yards against Rice in the 2022 Lending Tree Bowl is the NCAA record for the most by a single player in a bowl game.

Swayze Bozeman, linebacker, Kansas City Chiefs

Bozeman is an uber-athletic linebacker who played sevens of college football. At Southern Miss' pro day , the 6-foot-2, 225 pounder ran a 4.40-second 40-yard dash, 6.6-second three-cone drill and a 4.1-second shuttle. He also bench pressed 28 times, posted a 36-inch vertical and a 10-foot-11 broad jump. Injuries were an issue for Bozeman though, who only once in his five seasons at Southern Miss played every single regular-season game.

Briason Mays, offensive lineman, San Francisco 49ers

Mays was a starting left tackle for Southern Miss in 2023 before transitioning to starting right tackle midway through the season. He also made starts at center during his three seasons at Southern Miss. Mays made 23 starts at West Virginia from 2018-20.

Latreal Jones, wide receiver, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jones was second on Southern Miss in receiving in 2023 with 498 yards and three touchdowns. The Taylorsville, Mississippi native played three seasons at Pearl River Community College before two seasons at Southern Miss.
