LAWRENCE CO., Ala. (WAFF) - A wreck claimed the life of a Danville man Thursday afternoon, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. ALEA says 67-year-old Jimmy Peebles was killed after he drove his car off the road, hit a utility pole, overturned and caught fire. The wreck happened on Lawrence County 87 near Lawrence County 434, six miles east of Moulton.

HARTSELLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A Hartselle man was arrested over the weekend, accused of trying to strangle his wife. According to the Decatur Daily, Carl Deleo III is accused of getting into an argument with his wife about divorce, and then strangling her as she tried to call 911 for help.

The city of Decatur gearing up for new residence facility : Applications now open
DECATUR, Ala. — Applications are now available for students to apply for residence at the new Alabama Center for the Arts Residence Hall in Decatur.
