1 alleged felon and another man arrested in Hartford

MANCHESTER, Conn. (WTNH) — Two Hartford men with outstanding warrants, including on felony warrant, were located and arrested on Tuesday.

Officers arrested Frankie Almodovar-Roman, 22, of Hartford, who had an active felony warrant, and Junior Jorge, 20, of Hartford, who had two outstanding failure-to-appear warrants, police said.

According to police, officers recognized Almodovar-Roman and saw him get into a car with three other people on Tuesday in Hartford.

Police followed the car to Center Springs Park and converged on the vehicle, detaining all four occupants.

Officers found an extended firearm magazine on the backseat floorboard of the car and a ghost gun in the passenger compartment.

Almodovar-Roman struggled while police arrested him and even damaged the interior of the police cruiser, police said.

The 22-year-old was charged with interfering with an officer and third-degree criminal mischief. He was released to Glastonbury police on an active felony warrant.

Jorge was charged with interfering with an officer after trying to conceal his identity. Police determined he had two failure-to-appear warrants and was held on an unspecified bond.

Police said they expect more charges will come regarding the unseized firearm.
