An intoxicated driver who hit a pedestrian and did not stop over the weekend is facing more serious charges after the 75-year-old man died in the hospital, authorities said. Alan Friedman, of Closter, was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Durie Avenue in Closter around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said. He was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center, but died from his injuries Monday, authorities said.

MAYWOOD, NJ – The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the suspicious death of Maywood Police Sergeant Jason Y. Liaban. Liaban was found dead at around 2:30 am this morning.
