Have You Seen This Missing Hudson Valley Owl?
An area falconer/rehabber is on the lookout for her owl that went missing in April. I've talked about my love for owls, and how I feel they are some of the most fascinating creatures, often spotted all over the Hudson Valley. I've also mentioned that I believe my love for owls started as a kid growing up watching the 1981 movie Clash and seeing the adorable owl Bubo.

Don't let the address fool you, there's another spot in the country with the same name and beautiful housing options. Homes in the Hudson Valley are pretty expensive and hard to come by these days. A lot of people have had to hold off on their housing dreams because of how pricey everything is and they are even considering leaving the Hudson Valley to go to other parts of the country just to be able to own a home.

Washingtonville was very sad to announce that they, as well as several other towns in the area, have canceled their parades planned for tomorrow's Memorial Day Monday. Forecasts are rarely 100% accurate, but this rain event could be heavy, and would raise the potential to cause serious damage and risk for participants with beautiful costumes, antique cars, music instruments, and all other kinds of fun parade accessories, as well as health and safety dangers.

It's state championship time and time for an updated ranking of North Jersey's top boys and girls track and field teams heading into public school state sectionals May 31 and June 1 at eight sites through the state. State group meets on June 7 and 8 at Franklin (groups 1 and 4) and Delsea High Schools (groups 2 and 3) and Stockton University (Non-Public A and B) follow with the State Meet of Champions June 12 at its new site, Pennsauken High School.
