Saturday roundup: Winnacunnet girls lacrosse improves to 3-0 with win over Londonderry

HAMPTON – The Winnacunnet High School girls lacrosse team, a Division II team, entered Saturday’s clash with Division I Londonderry having won its first two games of the season and scoring at least 12 goals in both games.

Both of those trends continued Saturday in a non-league game.

Sky Mace, Elle Emery and Shea Graham each scored three goals as the Warriors rolled to a 12-5 win over the Lancers.

“Another big win,” Winnacunnet head coach Colleen Farias said.

Reese Gandt added two goals for the Warriors, and McKinley Fowler had one.

BASEBALL

HAMPTON – The Astros scored four runs in the fifth inning and two in the sixth, coming back from a 2-0 deficit in this Division I game.

Miles Pratt, Jackson Larck and Jaxon McDonald each had a hit for Winnacunnet (1-2). McDonald and Jones Vicinus both had an RBI in the loss.

BOYS TENNIS

EXETER – Oliver Berardino (No. 1, 8-2), Ewan Simard (No. 2, 9-8), Nick Meyers (No. 3, 8-4), Owen Russell (No. 4, 8-0), Pavel Pazourek (No. 5, 8-0) and Michael Burke (No. 6, 8-0) all won in singles action for Exeter in this Division I match.

In doubles, Berardino and Simard won 8-3 at No. 1, Meyers and Russell won 8-2 at No. 2, and Pazourek and Nick Rosa won 8-4 at No. 3.
