SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — After Lincoln County Senior State Trooper Travis Hurley was stabbed multiple times and hospitalized by a suspect who ran from a traffic stop, State Police Superintendent Col. Jack Chambers said this just adds to a troubling trend within the past year. Even within the past week, a man was killed in Greenbrier County after troopers said he refused to drop a knife.
