In a bid to meet the surging demand for pickleball, Pickleball Kingdom, the international leader of indoor pickleball, is transforming a 40,500 sq ft building into a cutting-edge pickleball facility, complete with a café and restaurant. The facility, located at 1100 Negron Dr., will boast 14 state-of-the-art indoor courts that include outdoor surfaces, giving players the best of both worlds and eliminating the problem of inclement weather. In addition, this location will have conference rooms, meeting areas, a lounge, ample parking, and a mezzanine overlooking the courts. The facility aims to cater to the growing popularity of the sport, which has been steadily gaining traction across the US and Canada.
“Hamilton is the center of New Jersey pickleball,” Mayor Jeff Martin said. “With 18 dedicated outdoor courts in Veterans’ Park, plus the Pickleball Kingdom coming soon - plus their convenient locations - this is the best place to be for your dinks and drops.”
Pickleball, a sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, has seen a rapid rise in popularity since its invention in 1965. It can be played indoors or outdoors, making it accessible to players of all ages and skill levels.
"This presents an unprecedented entry into the nation's fastest-growing sport," Rob Streett, the COO of Pickleball Kingdom said. "The possibilities for expansion are endless, with significant advantages awaiting pioneers in all markets."
"The expansion into Hamilton is only the beginning, it paves the way for many New Jersey locations to come," Ace Rodrigues, Founder and CEO of Pickleball Kingdom said. "With franchisee Sam Sood leading this location, we know that he will be ushering in a new era of pickleball in New Jersey."
Hamilton Township has witnessed firsthand the growing enthusiasm for the sport. Likewise, Robbinsville Township, recognizing the sport's appeal, is set to open what is being billed as the largest pickleball facility in the Northeast. The Robbinsville Pickle House, slated to open in the fall, will feature 20 state-of-the-art courts along with an in-house restaurant and café.
