Connor Salmin was offered by Rutgers football earlier this week. The wide receiver prospect out of Virginia is a very intriguing athlete. A class of 2026 recruit out of Woodgrove High School (Purcellville, Virginia), Salmin has an offer list that includes Duke, North Carolina, Penn State, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia among others. Georgia and Indiana also offered this week. Last year as a junior, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete had 53 catches for 1,107 receiving yards with 16 touchdowns. A new map from the Planning Commission shows a proposed Preferred Growth Area (above) that sits 1 mile south of the incorporated town of Shepherdstown. The Jefferson County Planning Commission will hold its final public input meeting to accept public comment on the proposed Future Land Use Map and the action items to be included in the County’s updated Comprehensive Plan on Monday May 13 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Jefferson High School (4141 Flowing Springs Rd, Shenandoah Junction).

Two Persons Arrested In Connection With Drug-Related Overdose In Brunswick
They’re charged with distribution of fentanyl. Steven Best (L) Sierra Pompell (R) Brunswick, Md (KM) Brunswick Police made two arrests recently in connection with a tragic incident late last year. Steven Wayne Best Jr., 22, of Brunswick was taken into custody on May 3rd, charged with distribution of fentanyl. His charge is based on a Frederick County Circuit Court indictment.
