    LMC Foundation Hosts $10K Giveaway to Support Community Healthcare

    The LMC Foundation hosted a $10K Giveaway Dinner at the Groesbeck Convention Center on Saturday, April 27, to aid in support of community healthcare. The event was a huge success, with a total of 250 giveaway tickets sold and 36 items donated for stretch ticket items.
    The top three winners of the $10K Giveaway were Deanne Middlebrook, who won $10,000, Ashleigh Rand, who won $750, and Zack and Kailey Isbell, who won $500.
    The event was made possible by the hard work of the LMC Foundation. The LMC Foundation is made up of a group of dedicated community members who generously volunteer their time to ensure that the Limestone Medical Center has the best equipment possible. Members include Sharon Fredriksson, Susie Altland, Don Altland, Nathaniel Bedford, Karon Golden, Mary Rand, Clifton Fox, Richard Williams (Emeritus), Lea Hardison, and Melissa Arney.
    Five Groesbeck student volunteers helped to serve dinner that was catered by Los Pepes, Jessica Watson, Ally Moss, Gabe McLelland, Emily Rodriguez, and Kailyn Harris, as well as generous donations from individuals and businesses in the community.
    Donations from individuals included Elaine Hairgrove and Karon Golden, Sharon Fredriksson, Lea Hardison, Don and Mary Rand, Melissa Arney, Samantha Coffman, and Darrell Bryant. Donations from businesses included Top Golf Waco, Southern Grace, Bless This Hide, Longbotham Furniture, CleanCut Cleaners and Opal Cactus, Cinemark Waco, S&S Ag Center, Diamonds and Dust, Main Event Waco, Neurothon, AccentCare, Woodson’s, Black Cactus Armory, B7 Designs, Billy B’s Sale Barn Cafe, SandCastle Seasonings, and Jerri’s Cakes and Treats.
    Three local children assisted with the drawings; Taryn Truett-Reeci Roach, Tinley Truett, and Sage Harryman.
    Over the past years, the LMC Foundation has organized various fundraising activities geared towards the opening of the Kosse Community Health Clinic. They held a garage sale or treasure trove, with proceeds donated to the Kosse Clinic and the Hospital. They hosted a fundraising dinner to purchase equipment for the Clinic, raising $10,000, and donated $82,500 towards the purchase of a new 2019 ambulance and $33,276.01 for Kosse Clinic equipment. Since 2006, the LMC Foundation has donated $1,119,472.06 in equipment purchases.
    As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the LMC Foundation continuously supports Limestone Medical Center in providing excellence in community healthcare. They solicit, receive, acknowledge, and disburse gifts to improve and enhance the growth, development, and provision of high-quality healthcare services.
