GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The state Department of Transportation announced they plan to pave another 727 miles of roadway across the state in 2025. A few major roads in Greenville made that list, it’s all part of the 10-Year Strategic Plan focusing on highway safety, bridges, resurfacing and road capacity.

Road shuts down following natural gas leak in Mauldin
MAULDIN, S.C. (FOX Carolina) -The Mauldin Police Department said crews are responding after a natural gas leak was reported on Monday. Officials say Tanner Road from Bethel Road will remain shut down to through traffic until crews contain the leak. They added that they’ve reopened a section of Tanner Road from E. Butler Road to accommodate residents in the the Tanners Mill and Warrenton subdivisions.

Trial to begin for man accused in the 2020 Lavish Lounge Fourth of July shooting
The trial for a man charged in a mass shooting at a Greenville nightclub is set to start Monday. In the early morning of a 2020 Fourth of July concert, investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office said Jarquez Kezavion Cooper, 24, of Athens, Ga., fired shots into a crowd of hundreds at the Lavish Lounge. Two people were killed and seven were struck by gunfire.

Victim's name in deadly Greenwood County, South Carolina, hit-and-run released by coroner
A South Carolina coroner released the name of a person killed in a hit-and-run crash Friday, as law enforcement officers continued to look for a suspect. Greenwood County Coroner Sonny Cox said Michael Bryan Hayes, 53, of Greenville, was riding a bicycle when he was hit and killed in the crash.
