Gallagher, Hudson to return to WORD radio

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – Mike Gallagher and Joey Hudson are set to return to WORD radio.

Audacy said the new weekday lineup will go into effect Monday.

Mike Gallagher will host “The Mike Gallagher Show” on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Joey Hudson will host a new show, “Sunrise Carolina with Joey Hudson,” on weekdays from
5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and a magazine-style show, “The WORD on the Street,” on Saturdays
from 12:00 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Gallagher previously hosted the morning show on 77 WABC (WABC-AM) in New York and launched his radio career in Greenville in 1989.

“To return to the same station where I started my radio career 35 years ago is mind-blowing,”
said Gallagher. “I’m excited to reconnect with Upstate audiences and advertisers on this
powerhouse brand.

Hudson, a broadcaster, community service leader and businessman with a decade of experience in local radio, hosts the daily podcast “Just The Truth.”

“I’m ecstatic to join the team at this heritage station,” said Hudson . Thank you to Steve Sinicropi, Mark Hendrix and the 98.9 WORD family for welcoming me back to the airwaves.”

Audacy said as part of the changes, “Straight Talk with Bill Frady” will now be heard on weekdays from noon to 3 p.m.

The new weekday lineup is as follows:
5 a.m. – 6 a.m. ET: “Sunrise Carolina with Joey Hudson”
6 a.m. – 10 a.m. ET: “The Tara Show”
10 a.m. – 12 p.m. ET: “The Mike Gallagher Show”
noon – 3 p.m. ET: “Straight Talk with Bill Frady”
3 p.m. – 7 p.m. ET: “The Charlie James Show”
