Greenville man charged with crimes against a minor

GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – A Greenville man has been charged with crimes related to the solicitation of a minor.

According to the Greenville Police Department, 35-year-old Austin Stanley Waulters was arrested on Thursday after investigators learned he was communicating with a minor living in Utah.

Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered Waulters was communicating with the minor through Skype, where he coerced the victim to engage in sexual acts on camera.

Waulters is charged with the following:

• criminal solicitation of a minor
• two counts of possession of other controlled substances in schedule I to V
• five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree

Waulters faces up to 10 years imprisonment.
