GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Mother’s Day Weekend s one of the many events happening in our area as part of our latest Happenings Out East.

• On Saturday, South Greenville Recreation Center is holding a Community Baby Shower for new moms, teenage moms and mothers facing hardship. The event starts at 9 a.m.
• River Park North is offering free boating from 1-5 p.m. There is a choice of kayak or pedal boats for those who attend.
• The Turnage Theater in Washington is hosting the Laff Champs Mother’s Day Comedy Jam. The show starts at 5 p.m. on Sunday. Click here for tickets and more information.
