MrBeast raises the tension, excitement with first ‘completely real-time’ video

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — If MrBeast’s latest video doesn’t get your blood pumping, you might want to see your doctor.

The Greenville resident released his latest video, “In 10 Minutes This Room Will Explode!,” to his YouTube page on Saturday. He called it his first-ever live challenge with “no cuts.” That means no commercials, too. It’s recorded as-is from start to finish, which is 10 minutes.

MrBeast recently had a five-floor tower built not far from his Greenville warehouse just for this challenge. That and the “no cuts” way of presenting the video are likely further examples of how his new Amazon game show is likely to be.

That challenge is for a contestant named Darcy. He has to go through all five levels in the tower and then rush to save $250,000 in a room before it gets blown up.

Darcy is hanging upside down while wearing a straight jacket when the video starts. As soon as the clock begins, Darcy works to escape.

“I just started this 10-minute timer,” MrBeast said at the start of the video. “And when it hits zero that room all the way over there, full of money will explode.
