Pirates shut out Memphis 6-0 to win series

Memphis, Tenn. – Addy Bullis tossed four strikeouts and only allowed four hits for a complete game win as East Carolina shut out Memphis 6-0 on Saturday afternoon at Tigers Softball Complex.

The Pirates (35-16, 11-12 AAC) took the series with a late flurry of runs in the latter stages of the game after going scoreless in the first four innings.

Malea Rolle would hit a sacrifice bunt to advance Logan Sutton to second in the top of the fifth followed by Sutton making it to third on a ground out. Kanisha Anderson would break the scoreless tie with a sacrifice fly to put ECU ahead 1-0.

ECU would add on three more runs in the top of the sixth to gain some distance and the Pirates added the finishing touches with two more sacrifice flies in the seventh inning from Morgan Johnson and Annie Kate Dalton to score Jayci Chamberlain and Anderson respectively.
