BJ Anderson, the ex-Vanderbilt football player, was arrested Friday after he allegedly bit the chest of one security guard and the butt of another outside a bar in Nashville, The Tennessean reported. Anderson faces charges of assault, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct. Security guards told authorities Anderson had been denied entry after he was found to have had alcohol in a Gatorade bottle, leading to an altercation that left two guards with bite marks, according to an arrest affidavit. Weekly Safety Report: Wanted Woman Arrested After Chase, Deadly Crash on I-65 near Portland
Two incidents occurred in Sumner County, Tennessee this week. The first incident involved a wanted woman who led the Hendersonville Police Department on a chase. The suspect refused to stop and spike strips were deployed in an attempt to disable the vehicle. The pursuit ended with the arrest of Melissa Leann White. The second incident was a deadly crash on Interstate 65 near Portland. It involved three cars, a Dodge Ram pickup, a Ford Explorer, and a Subaru. The Dodge crossed the median and hit a concrete barrier, resulting in a fatality.
