ANN ARBOR, MI – An Italian-inspired pizzeria is bringing authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza to one of Ann Arbor’s freshest neighborhoods. PizzaPazza opened its brick-and-mortar open kitchen in Kerrytown Market and Shops, near the Ann Arbor Farmers Market, in December. Tribute Events For Victims Of Dangerous Dogs
Two upcoming events aim to pay tribute to victims of dangerous dogs, raise awareness about the issue, and push for stronger laws. Fowlerville resident Leticia Spagnuolo is among those involved in a movement to strengthen laws related to dangerous dogs in Michigan after her 4 ½-year-old Yorkie named Pearl was viciously attacked over the Memorial Day holiday weekend in 2022 by a roughly 100-pound bull mastiff mix dog that had jumped a fence with another dog. Pearl was attacked on Tuesday, May 28th and after multiple surgeries, succumbed to her injuries on the 30th.
$31M purchase of Ann Arbor property among University of Michigan land moves
ANN ARBOR, MI - A $31-million purchase of two Ann Arbor properties highlighted a series of land moves approved by the University of Michigan regents. The purchase of the properties at 1224 Washtenaw Court and 1700 Geddes Ave. were unanimously approved by the university’s Board of Regents during its Thursday, May 16 meeting.

One-year-old Michigan child suffers lacerations, bites on face after attacked by family's dogs
(CBS DETROIT) - A 1-year-old Michigan child is in critical condition after being attacked by two of the family's dogs Wednesday night, police said. At about 9 p.m., Wixom officers responded to a home in the area of Nissen Court and W. Maple Road after the homeowner called to report the attack. The family's two pit bulls had attacked the homeowner and their 1-year-old grandchild, according to police.When officers arrived, they discovered the one-year-old had bites on their face, forehead, lower back, and leg and several lacerations from the attack. The child was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, where they are in critical condition and awaiting surgery. Police say the homeowner's injuries were treated at the scene, and they refused to be taken to the hospital. Wixom police and the Oakland County Animal Control are investigating the incident.
