A Greece man who placed hidden cameras in the bathroom of an Orleans County church has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr. this week sentenced Stephen Nicot, 61, to the 12-year sentence. Nicot earlier pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.

Nicot even placed hidden cameras within the bathroom of his own house, court papers show.

"Nicot positioned the (church) camera so that it would capture video and images of naked individuals using the shower in the church bathroom," the U.S. Attorney's Office said in a statement.

Law enforcement officials initially identified five underage victims from images in digital devices owned by Nicot.
