Redwood Falls man sentenced for failure to keep his predatory offender registry updated
A Redwood Falls man, David Lee Backdahl, age 62, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for not updating his registration as a predatory offender. According to court documents, on July 6, 2023, a Redwood Falls police officer went to Backdahl’s current residence to do a compliance check. Backdahl is required to be registered until Sept. 2030 with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as a predatory offender.

Willmar, Clara City women injured in Chippewa County collision Friday
Two women were injured when their vehicles collided in Chippewa County on Friday. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on April 19 Virginia Dessin Donner, age 67, of Clara City, was traveling northbound on Highway 23 in a Kia Sorento. At about 11:39 a.m., near 150th Avenue SE, her vehicle collided with a northbound 2009 Saturn Aura being driven by McKayla Anne Allpress, age 29, of Willmar.
