GRAND CHUTE — The Capitol Drive overpass along Interstate 41 will close to traffic and reconstructed starting April 1, weather permitting, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

"Drivers can expect a few nights of full closures on I-41 during demolition, and traffic will be detoured using Casaloma Drive, Northland Avenue, and North Lynndale Drive," the department said in an email to area residents. People may also "experience nighttime noise during the overnight demolition operations."

Other project closures starting this year include the Rose Hill Road overpass and County N interchange in Outagamie County. French Road/Southbridge Road will also close between Creamery Road and Lawrence Drive in Brown County.

The I-41 expansion project between Grand Chute and De Pere is separate from a rehabilitation project on I-41 in Winnebago County, between Breezewood Lane and State 15, that also begins in April.
