PORTLAND, Maine — Bomb threats were directed at six Portland schools Tuesday morning, according to police. The threats, which were determined to be a hoax, were made at about 10 a.m. and targeted Ocean Avenue Elementary, Talbot Community School, Amanda Rowe Elementary, Peaks Island Elementary, Longfellow Elementary, and Deering High School, police said.

A NEWS CENTER Maine crew saw at least three police cruisers with lights at the scene located near the Homeless Services Center.
