Authorities investigate early morning ATM theft at Freedom Bank

GOLDEN, Mo. (KOAM) -- Authorities in Barry County respond to an ATM theft at Freedom Bank in Golden, Missouri.

According to the Barry County Sheriff's Office Facebook page , deputies responded to the bank during the early morning hours on April 13, 2024.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found the ATM broken into. Authorities say there was also a white Dodge pick-up truck on scene, that they believe to be stolen.

Authorities say there was a church van from the Grandview 1st Baptist Church on Arkansas State Highway 143, with straps and hooks used to pull the ATM open. A license plate belonging to the van was found on scene.

The Barry County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area or have any information to call the Sheriff's Office at 417-847-6556.
