Accident on Highway 11 near Kirksville leaves two injured
An accident occurred on Highway 11, five miles northeast of Kirksville, at approximately 8:30 a.m. on May 15, 2024. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2012 GMC Yukon, driven by Scott E. Hale, 40, of Kirksville, failed to yield and struck a northbound 2015 Toyota Sienna driven by Cassandra N. Villhard, 26, also of Kirksville.

University buys former grocery store site in Lafayette Square for $4M
ST. LOUIS — A university with multiple campuses has purchased a former grocery store site near Lafayette Square for $4 million. A.T. Still University, a health sciences university and medical school based in Kirksville, purchased 1500 Lafayette Ave., the site of one of the locations of local chain Fields Foods, which shut down last year, in January, according to sales data from Reonomy.
