22-year-old maintenance worker killed in Hodgenville during construction project
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 22-year-old maintenance worker was killed in Hodgenville on Tuesday morning, according to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Kentucky State Police said Blake Barnes, a contract worker, was killed in an accident on KY 210, known as Old Elizabethtown Road, near Tonieville Road. Barnes, from Elizabethtown, was hit by a vehicle driven by Henry T. James, 74, while working on a maintenance operation.
Hundreds without power after major outage in Elizabethtown
ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. — Hundreds of people were in the dark in Elizabethtown, Ky. Tuesday afternoon after a major power outage. At about 1 p.m., LG&E's power outage map estimated at least 700 people in Elizabethtown didn't have power due to the outage. Now, the map says about 90 customers are without power.
