Concordia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell just short of the Beloit Trojans by a score of 4-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Concordia of the 13-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on Friday.

Softball Recap: Republic County snaps three-game streak of wins on the road
Republic County lost against Beloit back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Republic County Buffaloes lost 13-3 to the Beloit Trojans. Republic County has not had much luck with Beloit recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Murray leads Cowgirls to sweep over Beloit
The Abilene Cowgirls got a pair of quality pitching efforts from both Brooklyn Haaga, and Hallie Johnson to sweep the visiting Beloit Lady Trojans last Friday night. The Cowgirls would win game one 11-1, and complete the sweep by winning game two 6-4. Offensively senior catcher Maddie Murray led Abilene on the night as she collected six hits, and five RBI’s in the double header victory.
