Woman charged with stealing from Kohl's in Glasgow

A Wilmington woman is facing felony charges for allegedly stealing more than $2,100 worth of clothing from a store in Glasgow.

The incident happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. May 3 at the Kohl's on Pulaski Highway, according to Delaware State Police.

After being called for a report of shoplifting, a trooper found 37-year-old Lamir Harris hiding behind a bush in the parking lot of a nearby Wawa, police said. She ran from the trooper but was apprehended after a brief foot chase.

Harris was found in possession of a small amount of heroin and one Xanax pill, police said.

The trooper was able to recover the stolen merchandise.

Harris was charged with felony shoplifting, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. She was released on $800 unsecured bond.
