Incoming district athletic director has plenty to say about sportsmanship
Meet Peninsula School District’s new director of athletics and activities. Wendy Malich, current athletic director for Franklin Pierce School District, starts July 1 in a newly created, “centralized” AD position for the district. Athletic directors at Peninsula and Gig Harbor high schools will remain in their roles.
UW Dean’s List recognizes Grant, Adams scholars as university preps for graduation
SEATTLE — Students from Grant and Adams counties have been named to the Dean's List at the University of Washington for the Autumn 2023 Quarter. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least 12 graded credits and have a grade point average of at least 3.50 out of 4. Students are notified that they have achieved this distinction when they receive their grades for the quarter.
Kent School District and Kent Reporter’s 2024 Athletes of the Year
The inaugural Kent School District and Kent Reporter Athletes of the Year were announced on June 4 inside the Kent School District boardroom. It was a two-leg sweep for a pair of Kentlake Falcons who took the male and female athlete of the year after receiving over 6,700 votes in the inaugural community poll.

The Kent School District received a clean financial report from the Office of the Washington State Auditor.
