MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) announced that 12 Alabama counties are now under an annual warm-weather ban on open burning. A ban on open burning begins May 1 for the counties of Baldwin, DeKalb, Etowah, Jefferson, Lawrence, Madison, Mobile, Montgomery, Morgan, Russell, Shelby and Talladega in Alabama.
