The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises the traveling public of a project scheduled for Lancaster Road/KY 52. Improvements will be in effect for the route located in Boyle and Garrard Counties.

The project location is between the Danville Bypass/US 150 (milepoint 0.00) and past the Boyle/Garrard County line (milepoint 5.114).

The work is part of the Highway Safety Improvement Program. The HSIP program is designed to provide safety upgrades for roadways. The anticipated completion date is Friday, August 30, 2024.

The changes for enhanced safety include tree trimming, drainage and pipe extensions, roadside regrading, guardrail replacement, asphalt resurfacing and signage.

Work will be in effect Mondays through Fridays during the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule will continue until August 30.

Lane closures will be in effect between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Lane closures will be removed at the completion of each shift. Motorists will be able to pass through the work zone.

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
