Riley County police arrest Conway Springs man in connection with drug crime
MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Riley County police arrested a man in connection with drug crime on Sunday afternoon, authorities said. The arrested man, Trevor Smith, 26, of Conway Springs, was arrested around 3:50 p.m. Sunday on a Riley County District Court warrant charging him with eight counts of the sale and distribution of a controlled substance.

Storm aftermath causes school closures, power outages
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - We’re tracking the aftermath of Sunday’s severe storms across Kansas. Classes at Newton’s Chisholm Creek Middle School are canceled this morning due to damage from the storms. The Russell School District, USD 407, has called off classes today because of the damage. Halstead-Bentley schools are also closed, and activities in the district are canceled until further notice.
