Carroll County hosted Alleghany in their biannual doubleheader Tuesday night and after 3:23 of total time and 12 tension-filled innings, the Lady Cavaliers and Lady Cougars ended the night having secured one victory each. Carroll tennis racks up Grayson
Carroll County’s boys’ tennis team is now 2-1 after an 8-1 victory over Grayson County on April 15 in Hillsville. The Cavaliers swept singles action as top-seeded Jabin Talley remained undefeated on the year despite playing with a quarter-sized blister on his racquet hand. Talley faced an early 3-2 deficit, but reeled off six of the next seven games to win 8-4. Ethan Richardson cruised for Carroll at No. 2 singles with an 8-1 victory, while No. 3 Paul Marshall earned an 8-5 win.
